I think it'd be cool if a script could be written to allow boards to be converted to HTML files without any of the other stuff, just the posts, and compressed to zip archives. Then, people could download board topics and sync them to portable players. Sorry if I'm talking nonsense.

You can always copy it to the clipboard, and paste it in a text file. A little time consuming, but if you really want to have a text copy, you can do that.

Ok, just a suggestion for those really long boards, like the ones with three hundred posts or something like that.

I'm not against it, if the staff are ever really bored and have nothing better to do.

why would you want to copy a whole board?

usually if you want to copy something out of a post, it would probably only be a paragraph if that.

can't see why anyone would want a 4/ 5 page topic coppied

I agree about copying and pasting. To be honest, I have done that on occasion, if I want to read a really long board topic but won't have internet access. I'll just put it on my Braille Note. This idea sounds totally unnecessary.

The only reason I could see someone wanting to download an entire board would be if anything legal came up, and they wanted to use it as proof/disproof.
